Dog Pet Care
a dog? I know to be prepared financially for any emergencies or illnesses but what is the cost per year for good care with dog not having illness or emergencies?
I’m thinking of adopting a 3 yo shih tzu mix and I know there will be grooming fees at leat every 8-10 weeks with me doing bathing inbetween. I know of food, bedding and maybe vitamin tablets and of course collars and leashes. Yearly shots and the every three year rabies and the monthly heartworm chewables.
What would be a reasonable estimate of cost of care -without illness or emergenicies per year? I’m not rich but not poor and I can’t go into this blind as far as the money it will take and I won’t get any dog -or any pet for that matter – if I can’t afford to care for it the right way.
He is already neutered so that’s a bonus.
My dad has one of his friends daughters taking care of our dogs for 5 days while we are out of town. This girl- i am not too comfortable with because last time she babysat my little sis, her friends came to pick her up early and sat on our lawn in their car for like 2 hours and left marks all over!!! She has also cancelled babysitting once because she had something to do….
It’s not that this girl is not nice but i am EXTREMELY clost to my doggies and i am very protective of them. no one except my really closse friend in college has taken care of them, and she is one of my BFFs (except she like 6 yrs older than me, still….) I am still not comfortable but we are leaving this evening. I have tried talking to my dad but he will not listen and says he knows her well and that shes nice. And she’s just gottan a puppy and walks it very often and everything like that but i really don’t trust her with my puppy..
!) What should i do?
!) Wat can i do to make myself more comftorble if dad don’t change his mind?!?!??!
PS: My dad is not going on the vacation bcuz of work but my mom is still my dad came up with using her as a dog sitter baisically cuz she’s close and he claims that she is nice.
I am relocating to Europe and am desperate to take my dog with me. She is too big to ride in the cabin with me, and I am nervous about an international flight in the cargo hold! Has anyone flown with a pet before, and can you suggest airlines with good reputations for pet care, etc??? (or warn me of any bad experiences you’ve had) Please help. Thanks!
How does i take care of my female dog without breeding
and spaying her from unwanted health risks till her lifespan.
because i am not interested in spoiling her natural health by
removing her body parts by spaying.is it necessary ? that every
female dogs without breeding or spaying will have a pyometra or mammary cancer is there any proof of unspayed or notbreeded dogs living with good health in this world? because every females in humanbeings are not prone to the risk of ovary and breast cancers even in the unmarried women. how can a hormone in a female dogs can only give a defect to her body there may be advantages also.If the body
stops producing the hormones after her spaying what are the defects that can be faced by a female dog .please,dog vets and serious pet lovers and breeders only answer.
I have wanted a dog my whole life, but Im not alowed to get one, becasue my mom doesnt like them Im trying to think of another fun pet becasue here is the list she gave me of what pets I cant have
NO: hamsters,birds,mice,cats,dogs,rats, and I dont want a fish cuz they are boring.
So is there anything else?
I was thinking a guinea pig, but are they hard to take care of?

I have found that caged mammals take a lot of care (guinea pigs etc.). I live in an apartment and my dog needs to be walked 4 times a day so that is quite a bit of care but I really enjoy it. I am wondering if there are animals that you can keep that don’t really need a lot of care.
I am looking for a dog as a PET ONLY. I don’t really care about pure breeds… this dog will be sleeping in my bed with my wife and I and maybe someday our son or daughter. I want a small to medium sized dog preferable short hair or a long hair that doesn’t shed much. I do plan on having kids so what ever breed it is it MUST be good with kids. I hear Mastiffs are great with kids but are a bit bigger then I want haha. Again this will be an inside dog and the wife absolutely doesn’t want a dog that sheds a lot! I was planning on doing that actually Animallover! But my problem is that I LOVE dogs. I am the kind of person that will go there and wont be able to pick just one especially knowing the possible future of the dogs I don’t choose… It’s really hard for me to go there and leave haha
the animal can not pass on diseases easily. and no cats or dogs.
but i need a pet thats easy-2-care-4 and is very low(or medium) matienence

Yes,I know that all of those are good foods. I feed Holistic Selects and Merrick,but I may have to start feeding a less expensive brand because of financial problems.This one looks pretty decent.

I am getting a dog soon a Pug actually and I’m happier then ever, but I’m new to being a pet owner and I was wondering how much it would cost me monthly, what shots I would have to get my Pug & at what age, and what I all need before I actually get the dog, also any tips would be very much appreciated!
