i have to ask ive been off an on YA on my sisters account.

ive heard there are only two types of dog you are ALLOWED to get on here without getting a 6 page rant.

either
a. a shelter dog which not everyone wants because , you either cant show, dog could have mental or physical health problems , bad habits that arent always fixable. i should know uncle has a boxer mis he adopted its has training and behaviour classes…and is still messed up my uncle and his whole family try to train the dog consistently the same way.

2. from a reputable breeder who wants your yearly wages. think about it
how much does it really cost to have those genetic tests? a litter doesnt pay for itself? 5 puppies they sell each for 1500.00-50,000.00 i understand genetic testing for some breeds are necessary for instance GSD needs hip tests no matter what i dont however consider the ear and eye as important on them as those arent major problems in the breed. but that doesnt make a litter worth 250,00.00
.
why do we have to be rich to own a dog we want thats tested?

what is with this?

i talked to several breeders over the past month all breeder referals from the breed clubs. i asked them about this they say they want to litters to do more than pay for themselves some said they wanted to be sure the owner could take care of the dog….ok how is spending 2k + proving i can take care of it? i pay at most 60.00 a month on dog food and 30.00 on pet insurance that covers everything including genetic issues, bloat if he eats poison or hit by a car.

why spend that much? i mean i could get a healthy dog just as easily from a small time breeder that doesnt show but breeds for standard and does the health tests for 600.00 -700.00 ive seen them

ive met people that have dogs that meet the standards but they wont show the dogs because of the attitude of people at the shows trying to warn off and keep people out.

a lady i know that has pekingeses went to a show and someone put glue on her dog and she just flipped them off an left.
and genetic tests dont cost over 1 k per puppy

My 4 year old Labrador/Dalmation/Staffy mix is about to give birth thanks to my no-good Doberman/Poodle mix who made her pregnant in the first place! Anyhow, how do I care and prepare for the baby puppies? She is 64 days pregnant and has already started nesting. I’ve never been in this sitation but as I don’t think fixing pets is necissery and I am buying a not-fixed 1 year old female Beagle soon, I migh be in the situation again so I need ALLLLLLLL the help I can get now! I don’t plan to come back to this site as I have read in other questions, millions of people who answer about pregnant dogs and "NEWBIE" dog breeders are rude and mean. Anyhow, again, any advice for me? Would it be alright for my 7 year old daughter to start playing with her puppies as soon as they have been delivered and how long should I wait to get them vet checked and what do I do if something goes wrong? I’m very scared because Lilly’s mom gave birth to her litter throw ceseraian.

The pet stores around me only carry one brand and I do not particularly care for it. (Osterman). I am looking for the best deal. Not outrageously expensive, but also very good at getting the job done. Are there any dog groomers, breeders or caring pet owners out there who favor a certain brand? Please let me know.
