1/5 – Search & Rescue dog training – bark indication
This 8-month old dog is training for SAR on a Find/Refind (Recall/Refind) with a bark alert. The Handler is attempting to increase the number of barks from the dog from 1 to at least 3. In this first video, the Handler was hesitant, and releases the dog for reward before he should have. The next 4 videos show how the Handler teaches the dog the desired number of barks by backing up a step in the recall-refind sequence.
