I am looking to buy a pet mostly for show and tell purposes. I have a cat but am moving out and my dad wont let me take him with me. I am relatively low on budget, but that budget mostly applies to the feeding/health of the animal. I wouldnt mind spending hundreds on the actual pet and enclosure, just not paying constantly throughout its life. I was looking at tarantulas and scorpions, but am kind of a wussy. I was also thinkin of those hissing cockroaches they seemed neat and relatively harmless.
Any opinions? I really want a pet, I just need something to care for so I dont get depressed.
